Charleston County RoadWise is the name of Charleston County government's management program for the construction of road, highway, resurfacing, paving and drainage projects that are funded by the Charleston County Transportation Half-Cent Sales Tax.
In the fall of 2004, Charleston County voters agreed to add a half-cent sales tax on purchases made in the county for 25 years or a total investment of $1.3 billion.
