Minority, Women and Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (M/W/DBE) Program
Charleston County RoadWise is committed to involving S.C. Department of Transportation (SCDOT)-certified Minority, Women-Owned, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (M/W/DBE's) in the design and construction of the roadway, drainage, sidewalk and other improvements funded by Charleston County's Transportation Sales Tax.
Overseen by the Charleston County Office of Organizational Development, the RoadWise M/W/DBE program is intended to ensure non-discrimination in the award and administration of the Charleston County Transportation Sales Tax funds. The goal of the program is to ensure a level playing field on which M/W/DBE's can compete fairly for contracts.
Businesses may obtain a S.C. Unified Certified Program application from the SCDOT at http://www.scdot.org/doing/Dbe_certification.shtml or by contacting the Charleston County Office of Organizational Development.
