Charleston County Council approved allocating Transportation "Half-Cent" Sales Tax funding in the amount of up to $1 million for drainage improvements per fiscal year. Engineering design, traffic studies, and a public involvement process to gather input from residents on proposed improvements will all be the first steps. Some of these projects may be funded for multiple years to provide for engineering design, right-of-way acquisition (if necessary), and construction. Visit this Web site throughout the process to review projected schedules and public meeting dates.
