Harbor View Road

Harbor View Road is an Urban Minor Arterial located on James Island and is approximately 3.7 miles long. It begins at Folly Rd. (S-171), includes an interchange with the James Island Connector (SC Route 30), crosses the James Island Creek and terminates at Ft. Johnson Road.

The primary purpose of the proposed project is to improve traffic flow and safety on Harbor View Road and to provide bicycle and pedestrian facilities.

A public meeting was held at the Harbor View Elementary School from 7-9 p.m. on June 29, 2006. Ninety-nine (99) citizens were in attendance.

The second public meeting was held September 28, 2006 to brief the citizens on the alternatives for the Harbor View Road Improvements Project and to gather comments regarding the proposed alternatives.
